Fire Fighting Tug Boat Ride Raffle Prize for Rebecca

Thank you to everyone who has supported our work through sharing your blessings, be it finances, expertise, time or talents! Your support has been a great encouragement to our small team and helped us to provide a wide range of caring services for seafarers despite challenging circumstances in 2022. See our Christmas newsletter for details.

Congratulations to the winner of our Christmas Appeal online raffle - Rebecca M. Rebecca and three friends will now be able patrol Sydney Harbour on the famous operational fire fighting tug, The Shirley Smith. The online raffle, our first one ever conducted, raised $993 for our wellbeing work. Thank you to the Port Authority for donating this exciting prize.

Thank you also to everyone who made a donation to our Seafarers Christmas Appeal. Your support will help us to restore and expand our services in 2023 after the challenges of covid-lockdowns for the about 10,000 seafarers who visit our Mission Centre each year.

If you missed the earlier invitation, yet would still like to receive your Christmas gift of The Seafarer’s Mind by Rev Martin Otto, then email us at support@missiontoseafarers.org.au for your e-copy. It gives you an insight into the real experiences, thoughts and adventures of Seafarers from around the world. If you prefer your books in hard copy, drop into our Mission Centre at Millers Point. Thank you again to Rev Otto for donating the books!

Wishing you all a Blessed and Joyous Christmas from Rev Tay and the team at Mission to Seafarers Sydney.
